On Thursday, March 31 at 2 p.m. (CST), Bill Dyer, Associate Director of Athletic Communications at Virginia Tech, Marlene Navor, Director of Athletic Communications at College of Charleston, Lisa Stromeier from Creating Choices for Health and myself will be hosting a conference call through CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) on Job Seeking/Career Advancement.
There are many great websites that will help individuals in job seeking. One of my personal favorites is the Undercover Recruiter because of its extensive discussion on key areas such as: Career Management | Employer | Interview Tips | Job Search | Recruiting | Resume & CV Writing | Social Media and Technology.
I receive frequent e-mails from the London, England based website and there have been many great articles that have helped me understand more of who, what and where I want to go within the job seeking process as well as hiring and training a staff.
Another great resource that I have been reading and reviewing for the last year is Front Office Sports. The website is a one-stop shop that has interviews, articles, job board and a forum full of insights from individuals throughout the sports landscape. I was fortunate to be interviewed by them in April 2015, check it out here.
