Additionally, 87% advocate for skills-based hiring over traditional degree requirements, and 90% indicate they would remain longer with companies that invest in employee training. Conversely, a separate survey of hiring managers reveals that 69% feel the skills gap is widening, despite 84% acknowledging their organizations have the resources to address it. Many employers have started to relax job requirements, such as experience and formal education, but face challenges in evaluating non-traditional credentials like online degrees. To bridge this divide, some companies are implementing strategies like skills mapping and skills-based rewards. However, a report from The Adecco Group indicates that 90% of companies lack "future-ready" talent strategies, especially concerning AI capabilities.
